Community development is the process of developing sustainable practices, businesses, political and social empowerment within a community. Each of the developmental areas in which Across Borders works, enhances and becomes a part of any specific area's community development. By working together towards common agendas, we can encourage community members to take an active participatory role in the outcome. This active participation can create a sense of well-being, social justice and inspire otherwise disconnected individuals to foster the belief that change is possible. This inspiration becomes the fuel to encourage people to continue working towards common solutions, and thus can create sustainable change.
