Roland Santiago
Roland E. Santiago, PhD, is an electrical engineer by profession. For Across Borders, he has pioneered the Kalinga Ama Shelter
for Children, which provides counseling and education for abandoned street children, some of whom were rescued from sex slavery.
He also created the Eagles' Nest Foundational Learning Centers, which provides very affordable, quality education for families
and children in need. Roland obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration from Metro Dagupan college, and later obtained
his Doctorate in 2008. His passion for the transformation of his beloved country, the Philippines, has driven him towards work in
grassroots organizations that empower the underprivileged sector of society. He encourages the Philippino people to become
engaged and contributing citizens, in an otherwise impoverished and sometimes corrupt country.
